Annoying header and footer

This app works ok. Its just a simple news app. But they have wasted valuable screen space with a single back button which goes across the whole screen. There is a similar control
bar along the bottom wasting space. And then you have a manner ad as well. I went back to the mobile web browser version. It is much cleaner.
